A Covenant goal this year is to help spread awareness on the scope of human trafficking in the United States.
Human trafficking is quickly replacing drug trafficking as the number one problem in America…Trafficking victims are all around us, not just in cities but also in comfortable suburbs and pastoral, peaceful, beautiful rural settings. Trafficked victims are not only forced to work and/or provide sex, they are also in bondage via debt, stolen papers, threats, and intimidation, which keeps them from even thinking about escape.
