St. Joseph Manor offers short-term rehabilitation services, traditional nursing home, and adult day health.  The Manor is dedicated to improving the quality of life of its residents, enlivening the community and returning autonomy to residents.  It is one of only 4 nursing homes in Massachusetts officially registered as an Eden Alternative Home.

One family member expressed the impact of our efforts best in a note to our staff:

"A year ago we placed in your hands the most precious, most important person in our lives.  Our mother.  It was the most difficult decision we have ever made.  It was hard to believe anyone, other than her loving family, could possibly give her the same gentle, loving care we thought we could.  How wrong we were!

The Mater Dei Adult Day Health Center offers support for families caring for loved ones at home.  Mater  Dei provides a day program which provides supervision, skilled nursing care and personal care while its clients engage in a social and recreational activities such as barbeques, patio mini-golf, spa days and lunch at local restaurants.  One client's family member stated, "Attending Mater Dei has made such a positive impact in my aunt's life.  Since joining she is engaged and active rather than isolated.  She looks forward to her days at her 'club.'"
